Question:

Mufti Sahib I am not happy with my life. Ever since I stepped into this country school kids have been bullying me like hell because of my name. They would make swear words out of my name I ended up needing mental help. On top my family does not support me. Plus I cannot work due to mental illness. On top of that I am suffering from chronic illnesses. I have lost trust in Allah I belief in him but I think when it comes to my life people have been very selfish and as a result I have lost trust in Allah.

My parents were careless when I was little as they and rest of my adults were addicted to Bollywood and most of my life is been sinful. As a child I have never experienced happiness. I am a grown-up man but lost in this world I hate my life and anything to do with religion. Please make Dua for me.

Narrated `Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakr: We were with the Prophet (ﷺ) when a tall pagan with long matted unkempt hair came driving his sheep. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, “Are those sheep for sale or for gifts?” The pagan replied, “They are for sale.” The Prophet (ﷺ) bought one sheep from him.

Dars-e-Hadith | Bukhari Shareef | Kitaabul Buyoo 18 | Hadith 2210-2215

Shuraih told the weavers, “You are permitted to follow your own conventions to solve your problems (it is legal for you to stick to your traditions in bargain) . ” Narrated `Abdul Wahab: Aiyub said: Muhammad said, “There is no harm in selling for eleven what you buy for ten, and you are allowed to take a profit for expenses . ” The Prophet told Hind, “Take what is reasonable and sufficient for you and your sons.” Allah says: Whoever is poor, can eat (from the orphan’s property) reasonably (according to his labors). Al-Hasan hired a donkey from `Abdullah bin Mirdas and asked him about the hire. The latter replied that it was for two Daniqs (a Daniq equals 116th Dirham). So Al-Hasan rode away. Another time, Al- Hasan came to `Abdullah bin Mirdas and asked him to hire the donkey to him and rode away without asking him about the hire, but he sent him half a Dirham.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Abu Taiba cupped Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) and so Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) ordered that a Sa of dates be paid to him and ordered his masters (for he was a slave) to reduce his tax.

Repeating a sin with the intention of making Taubah later

Q&A.Darulmahmoodnet

bismillah.dm

Question:

What happens when a person commits a severe sin and makes Taubah …  but then repeats the sin again …  with the thought of doing Taubah again?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle, it is mandatory for a person to make Taubah after committing any type of sin major or minor.1 However, if a person has committed a severe sin (Gunnah-e-Kabeerah), then the following three conditions should be adhered for the validity of ones Taubah:2

1)    He must refrain from committing the sin.

2)    He must express remorse over committing the sin.

3)    He must make a firm resolution never to return to that sin again.

Thus, if he commits the sin again he will get a sin and will have to make sincere Taubah.

One should not commit a sin with the intention of doing Taubah later. He may not get the Taufeeq to do Taubah again and be entrapped in the evil of sin for a long time. Allah forbid.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
Mufti Ebrahim Desai

Zaid bin Thabit (ra) said, “In the lifetime of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ), the people used to trade with fruits. When they cut their date-fruits and the purchasers came to recieve their rights, the seller would say, ‘My dates have got rotten, they are blighted with disease, they are afflicted with Qusham (a disease which causes the fruit to fall before ripening).’ They would go on complaining of defects in their purchases. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Do not sell the fruits before their benefit is evident (i.e. free from all the dangers of being spoiled or blighted), by way of advice for they quarrelled too much.” Kharija bin Zaid bin Thabit said that Zaid bin Thabit (ra) used not to sell the fruits of his land till Pleiades appeared and one could distinguish the yellow fruits from the red (ripe) ones.
